For over 3 years, Dana Engineering represented American Crane & Equipment Corporation, as their Northwest Regional Manager engineering sales and marketing representative.  The President of Dana Engineering, Mr. William Dana, P.E., provided Professional Engineer technical support for sales and service of the nuclear (NOG-1) and non-nuclear (CMAA-74) Cranes to many Northwest customers.  Crane types included gantry cranes, bridge cranes, and monorail hoists.

DEI performed startup testing, field load testing, and field adjustments for new bridge crane and monorail hoist.  DEI conducted classroom training sessions to plant operations and maintenance personnel on safety, maintenance and operation of equipment to client mechanics and operators.

 

Hanford  & Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant

Hanford, Washington

Dana Engineering represented ACECO for sales and service purchase of nuclear handing cranes for the Hanford spent nuclear fuel project, and for the Hanford Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant.  Mr. Dana coordinated between the factory in Pennsylvania and the customer (Bechtel) to present technical concepts to their engineering staff.  Sales were valued in the $(7 figures) dollar range.   

 

At the Hanford Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Building, Mr. William Dana, P.E., was the startup test director for the ACECO designed and built ASME NOG-1 Cask Receiving Crane (60 ton+10 ton) which contained state of the art variable frequency drive motors and PLC + remote radio frequency controls.
